ClassesAt the Artistic Painting Studio, we take much pride in the classes we offer -
Classes are well organized in a professional setting - each sample being created in class, will be shown and explained before implementation. The process enables students to better understand the techniques and various possibilities of each finish. Our instructors are thoroughly trained and certified in the use of all Faux Effects® products and methods. They have years of practical knowledge in the field and the experience to assure the students of a comprehensive, hands-on learning adventure. 2008 ScheduleDESIGNER WALLS I™ - WORKSHOPThis five-day class is an intensive workshop in the creation of incredible custom finishes - these finishes are in demand by the more discerning clients, designers and architects. Students will create decorative painting techniques using Faux Effects® Pro-Line materials - these state-of-the-art materials will stay wet longer than any other glazes, offer an unbelievable array of products to create unique finishes with using environmentally friendly, non-toxic materials.

ONE DAY FAUX BASICSThis one-day class is an introduction to faux finishing using the Faux Effects™ Silver Label materials. Students will learn the basics of wall preparation, followed by product information and instruction. You will also learn how various tools can make achieving professional looking results quite easy - Learn everything you need to know about Faux!!!

INCREDIBLE TEXTURES WORKSHOPThis three-day class is a more in-depth introduction and instruction into the decorative painting industry. DECORATIVE PAINTING WITH STENCIL ENHANCEMENTThis three-day workshop will provide students with the education, skills, tools and materials necessary to create the stenciled finishes and effects that are reinventing and redefining the art form today. DESIGNER WALLS II™ WORKSHOP (Prerequisite Designer Walls I™)This five-day workshop continues to build on the techniques and finishes students learned in Designer Walls I™ workshop. This class is for the discerning professional that wants to continue their knowledge of products, create multi-layered effects that will keep you on the cutting-edge of this industry.

RsCRETE™ DECORATIVE FINISHES WORKSHOPThis three-day class will educate students in the RsCrete™ materials by Faux Effects®. This concrete material will allow you to enter into another area of decorative finishing - with RsCrete™ you will be installing floors, countertops, patios and other areas requiring a highly durable concrete material.

COLOR AND DESIGN FOR THE DECORATIVE ARTIST®Guest Instructor - Caroline Woldenberg 
I'm very pleased to announce that we have Caroline Woldenberg on our class schedule for this fall. Caroline is an incredible instructor and very are blessed to have her come to our studio and teach her signature class on Color & Design. Caroline is one of the owners of The Finishing Source in Atlanta, GA. I had the pleasure of going to Caroline's studio several years back when I was in Atlanta, GA - we talked then about having her come teach at my studio.......It took a while, but she will be here on October 11th & 12th, 2008. Our color and design class is essential for any decorative painter who wants to enhance their knowledge of color and interior design. This lecture course is taught with extensive notes, PowerPoint slides, and examples of these theories in practice. In this class students will learn how to guide clients in finish choices and how to work within the professional design community. Students will touch on basic design theory, learn color schemes and themes, how to incorporate pattern, psychology of color, the effect of light and texture, mixing glazes to adjust value and chroma, and how to create a perfect finish with less than perfect architecture. This sensational course offers tricks of the trade and tips on how to manipulate your finishes to benefit your client's needs. Jennifer has been painting for over 18 years and has been instructing at her studio
for the past 13 years. She has taught at the national Stencil Artisans League
Convention for the past 12 years and also travels to other studios and shops to
teach her techniques in the decorative arts.
